Job Description
What will I be doing?
We are seeking a Senior Finance Systems Analyst to lead a major transformation of our finance systems landscape, leading the migration from legacy Oracle applications to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) and Power Platform. From requirements gathering and system design to testing and vendor oversight, you’ll be key to ensuring that solutions are aligned to business goals and global compliance requirements.
This is a high-impact, senior role at the intersection of finance and technology. You’ll play a pivotal role in designing and delivering scalable finance solutions.. You’ll work closely with Finance and Technology leadership to design scalable solutions that streamline processes, ensure compliance, and deliver actionable insights through integrated data platforms.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a high-visibility transformation initiative. You’ll work with a cross-functional leadership team, influence system and service design, and leave a legacy that supports scale, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with finance leadership to identify and map requirements for statutory and compliance-based customisations.
Translate business needs into solution requirements aligned with D365 F&O capabilities and Power Platform functionality.
Conduct in-depth discovery and workshops with senior stakeholders to identify current-state pain points and future-state requirements.
Develop and maintain functional specifications, process maps, data models, user stories, acceptance criteria, and testing plans
Write Statements of Work for delivery partners based on defined technical and functional specifications.
Support data migration planning and execution, ensuring a seamless transition from legacy systems.
Collaborate closely with internal developers, external vendors, and project managers to ensure timely, high-quality solution delivery.
Validate that implemented solutions meet business objectives through UAT coordination and quality assurance oversight.
Support steering discussions, risk identification, and scope alignment to keep the program on track.
Desired Skills and Experience
We’re looking for someone who:
5+ years of Senior Business Analyst/Functional experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations and Power Platform, including customising forms, workflows, reports and ERP process automation and integration.
Proven track record delivering ERP implementations, ideally covering AP, AR, GL, and Banking modules.
Strong understanding of ERP system architecture, data models, and business processes.
Accounting experience or CPA qualified
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design practical, scalable solutions.
Excellent stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Deep hands-on knowledge of D365 F&O and Power Platform, including configuration and customisation
Experience preparing technical documentation and overseeing user testing.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.
Self-starter attitude with high attention to detail and a commitment to quality outcomes.
