About the role

At CES, we have ambitious targets to keep billions of drink containers out of landfill and transform them into resources that can be used again and again. 

We are seeking a senior leader to join our IT team as the Head of Delivery. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the effectiveness of our agile software delivery practices. This includes leading delivery resources, ensuring organisational progress according to plan, and fostering continuous improvement in team culture and performance metrics. We are looking for  a strategic thinker with a passion for agile methodologies and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to IT functional strategy and leadership as a senior manager and member of the IT leadership team
  • Lead the strategy and continuous improvement of the CES delivery practices
  • Own the delivery framework, ensuring it continuously evolves and improves to meet the needs of CES maturity
  • Collaborate and communicate to build awareness and adoption of the delivery framework
  • Lead the team of Delivery Leads to run an effective IT Software Delivery Practice
  • Provide oversight and leadership for cross-team programs of work (if required)
  • Review the delivery trends and insights across the organization, to look for improvements in how we work
  • Plan and lead the quarterly planning events, including cross-team dependencies
  • Ensure all delivery governance, ceremonies, events, and reporting are being
  • Consolidate and roll-up reporting and present to senior leadership, identifying themes, insights and action plans

Desired Skills and Experience

About you 

  • Experience in a scale-up or mid-sized companies
  • Product based software companies using agile
  • Client facing software delivery
  • Hands on delivery leadership and practice ownership
  • Worked in multiple different delivery variants (agile, scaled agile, lean etc.)
  • Superior change management and collaboration skills
  • Superior verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to make progress through ambiguity
  • Hands on in Jira, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint

Our technology and services enable the circular lifecycle of drink containers. We have a large in-house software engineering team using modern technology stacks to develop and support our products. As well as a suite of SaaS products, our range of business services includes accounting, payments, brand & marketing, materials trading, HR, customer service and support.

CES was formed in 2017 as a joint venture between Lion and Coca-Cola Euro pacific Partners and has grown rapidly.
